Granja do Canguiri, Former governor's residence in Piraquara and Quatro Barras, Brazil

Granja do Canguiri is a former private residence spanning a large rural property that straddles two municipalities. The grounds now house school facilities and working agricultural spaces that together form a center for farm education.

The residence was built in the late 1920s and later served as a countryside home for state governors over several decades. During World War II, the property was briefly used to house people of Japanese origin.

The name comes from a native plant species, and the place now serves as a center for agricultural learning. Visitors can see how the grounds have shifted from a private residence into an educational and working landscape.

The center lies roughly 20 kilometers outside Curitiba and operates as part of a professional school. Keep in mind it is an active learning facility, so visiting hours and access may be limited.

The grounds once hosted important political meetings for state leaders over several decades. This era as a private government residence is still visible in the well-maintained buildings now used for teaching.
