Santa Bárbara d'Oeste, Industrial municipality in São Paulo, Brazil.

Santa Bárbara d'Oeste is a big city in São Paulo, Brazil, located within the Campinas metropolitan area and shaped by low hills covered with residential and commercial zones. The outer sections retain farmland, giving the landscape a mixed character between urban and rural spaces.

The settlement began in 1818 around a chapel built on land donated by Margaret Grace Martins. Following the arrival of immigrants from the southern United States in 1867, the area grew quickly into a production center.

The Cemetery of the Americans maintains the heritage of Confederate settlers who arrived after 1867, introducing agricultural methods and cultural traditions to the region.

The city sits within easy reach of the Campinas metropolitan area and maintains a network of health facilities throughout its neighborhoods. Most areas are well connected and accessible for daily use.

The American Cemetery holds the graves of families who migrated from the southern United States after the Civil War and introduced new farming techniques. The site still displays tombstones with English inscriptions and Confederate symbols.
