Campo Belo, metro station in Sao Paulo, Brazil
Campo Belo is a metro station in São Paulo located underground with modern concrete walls, a glass and steel roof structure, and natural light from a glass dome. The design is functional with wide platforms, clear signage, ticket counters, and card recharge machines.
The station opened in April 2019 as the final stop of a line expansion project and became part of the Lilac Line. It was built to better connect the southern part of the city and reduce road traffic in the growing neighborhood.
The name Campo Belo comes from the neighborhood where the station is located. The area reflects the daily routines of commuters, where practical habits and punctuality shape how people use this transit hub.
The station has a main entrance with escalators on both sides and elevators for people with mobility challenges. Portuguese signage is clearly visible throughout, and station staff are available to help with questions.
The station was originally planned to have the longer name Agua Espraiada, but planners chose to keep the name simple for consistency with nearby stations. The platform uses an island system where doors open on the left side to board trains in both directions.
