Tietê Ecological Park

Tietê Ecological Park is a large protected green area in São Paulo's East Zone that features lakes, walking trails, and varied habitats. The park's layout includes different zones where diverse plants and animals live and thrive.

The park opened in 1982 as part of flood control efforts in São Paulo's metropolitan area. Architect Ruy Ohtake designed this green space to serve both protection and conservation purposes.

The park is open daily and accessible through several main roads including Ayrton Senna Highway. Wear comfortable shoes and allow time to walk around the different areas and enjoy the trails.

The park houses a wildlife rehabilitation center that cares for animals rescued from illegal trafficking networks. This facility plays an important role in recovering and returning these creatures to their natural environment.
