Viaduto Cidade de Guarulhos

The Viaduto Cidade de Guarulhos is a cable-stayed viaduct that crosses the Presidente Dutra highway and serves as a major traffic route connecting different neighborhoods. The structure features multiple lanes designed to handle substantial vehicle flow throughout the day.

The project began in 2007 to address traffic needs between neighborhoods in the region. It was completed in 2010 after several years of construction, significantly improving connections across the area.

The viaduct's inauguration ceremony featured performances by the Municipal Conservatory Big Band and a young lyric singer performing national anthems.

As a major connecting route, the viaduct links multiple neighborhoods and is used by commuters throughout the day. The best time to observe the structure is outside peak hours, when traffic is less intense.

The surroundings of the viaduct were designed with a landscaping concept that integrates water features and green spaces with various plant species. This design transforms the structure into more than just a traffic route and creates a more pleasant space within the urban area.
