Museu do Tribunal de Justiça, Judicial history museum in downtown São Paulo, Brazil
The São Paulo Judicial Museum occupies the Conde de Sarzedas Palace, displaying legal documents, historical artifacts, and multimedia presentations about Brazilian law.
The museum opened in 1995 at the Palace of Justice before moving to its current location in 2007, in a nineteenth-century building at Conde de Sarzedas Street.
The institution maintains exhibition centers across São Paulo state courthouses, presenting furniture, documents, paintings, and architectural elements from different judicial periods.
Visitors can explore the museum from Monday to Friday between 1:00 PM and 5:00 PM, with guided tours available for groups through advance reservation.
The building features noble wood materials and imported stained glass windows, commissioned by deputy Luis de Lorena Rodrigues Ferreira between 1891 and 1895.
