Allianz Parque, Modern football stadium in Água Branca, São Paulo, Brazil
Allianz Parque is a football stadium in the Barra Funda District of São Paulo, Brazil. The facility spans multiple levels with surrounding stands that form a continuous bowl, offering seating in every direction when viewed from the pitch.
Construction began in 2010 on the site of the old Palestra Itália, which had been demolished earlier. The new stadium opened in 2014, replacing the previous home ground with a modern multipurpose venue.
The arena takes its name from the German insurance company that secured naming rights at opening. Green and white team colors dominate the seating pattern, and supporters often gather around the grounds hours before kickoff to share their anticipation together.
Entry happens through several gates along the surrounding streets, with each section accessible separately. During concerts, the stadium opens additional areas on the pitch that remain closed for football matches.
The roof consists of a lightweight membrane structure that allows natural light during the day and glows from inside at night. This design eliminates the need for heavy internal supports and ensures clear sightlines from every seat.
