Bangu

Bangu is a western neighborhood of Rio de Janeiro featuring residential areas, commercial zones, and various community facilities. The district combines smaller shops along local streets with larger modern shopping centers that serve the daily needs of residents.

The area began as a farm in 1673 and later developed into a textile production center after a major factory opened in 1893. This industrial past shaped how the neighborhood grew and developed into what it is today.
