Vila Leopoldina is a residential district in western São Paulo featuring tree-lined streets and a mix of apartment buildings, shops, and converted warehouse spaces. The neighbourhood spans several square kilometers with this varied blend of structures throughout.
The area was purchased by German Jesuits in the 19th century and named after Leopoldina Kleeberg, a partner in the company that developed the first land plots starting in 1894. This early development established the district as a residential neighbourhood.
