Cristo da Paz, Religious monument in Bom Jesus do Galho, Brazil.
The Cristo da Paz stands 30.2 meters tall and weighs approximately 510.5 tons, constructed with reinforced concrete and iron materials on a hilltop location.
Construction began on January 9, 1998, and the monument was officially inaugurated on June 26, 1999, after community support transformed the original 10-meter design into the current structure.
The monument was designated as municipal cultural heritage through Decree 628 in 2003, serving as a focal point for religious celebrations and community gatherings.
Visitors can access the monument via a dirt road through rural areas, following the Sacramento River to a bridge, then ascending approximately 1 kilometer to the site.
Originally planned as a 10-meter tourist attraction, community enthusiasm led to its expansion, making it the third-largest Christ statue monument in Brazil.
