National Museum of Ethnography and Folklore, Ethnographic museum in La Paz, Bolivia

The National Museum of Ethnography and Folklore occupies an 18th-century palace building, displaying collections of pre-Hispanic artifacts, textiles, and traditional masks across two floors.

Established in 1962 under the Central Bank of Bolivia's management, the museum has grown from a small collection to house over 15,000 cultural artifacts and documents.

The museum's exhibitions present Native American textiles spanning 3,000 years of history, including traditional skirts, blankets, and intricate tapestries from various regions.

Visitors can access the museum Tuesday through Friday from 9 AM to 12:30 PM and 3 PM to 7 PM, with admission fees of 20 bolivianos for international guests.

The numismatic room contains an extensive collection of coins and currency from Bolivia's colonial period through present day, documenting the nation's economic evolution.
