Palacio Consistorial de La Paz

Palacio Consistorial de La Paz is a three-story administrative building at Plaza Murillo featuring white stone walls and tall windows facing the central plaza. The structure displays eclectic architectural features that combine various stylistic directions in its design.

The building was designed in 1925 by architect Emilio Villanueva Peñaranda after a fire destroyed the previous municipal offices on this site. This reconstruction was a significant part of the city's development and created new administrative facilities for La Paz.

The palace reflects local governance traditions and shows European design elements blended with Bolivian building practices. Visitors can observe this mixture of influences in the facade details and interior spaces.
