Museo de Arte Contemporaneo Plaza La Paz, Art museum on Avenida 16 de julio, La Paz, Bolivia.
The museum occupies a nineteenth-century mansion with wrought iron balconies and stained glass windows, displaying paintings, sculptures, and ceramics from various artists.
Established in 1984, the museum building stands on El Prado avenue, which housed diplomatic delegations and luxurious residences until the mid-twentieth century.
The museum exhibits both national and international contemporary artworks, organizing exhibitions that reflect current artistic trends and social issues through different mediums.
Visitors can access the museum daily from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM, with entrance fees of 7 bolivianos for nationals and 15 bolivianos for foreigners.
The institution hosted a special exhibition in 2014 featuring thirty Bolivian artists creating works inspired by Mexican comedian Roberto Gómez Bolaños.
