Mirador Killi Killi, Observation point in Villa Pabon, La Paz, Bolivia.

Mirador Killi Killi is an observation point on Santa Barbara hill in Villa Pabon, offering views across La Paz with its surrounding mountains, urban structures, and residential areas. From this vantage point, visitors see how the city spreads across valleys and hillsides at different elevations.

The site served as a military command post for indigenous leader Túpac Katari in 1781 during his uprising against Spanish colonial forces. This historical role connects the location to a pivotal moment of resistance in the region's past.

The hilltop serves as a sacred site where local Andean communities perform traditional rituals, leaving stone offerings as gestures of respect toward mountain spirits. Visitors can observe signs of these spiritual practices throughout the grounds.

The observation point is open during day and night hours, with public transportation available near the stairs leading to the summit. Wear sturdy shoes for the climb, as the path can be steep and slippery at higher elevations.

A stone arch built in the 1920s, originally part of a residence in Sopocachi district, was relocated and now stands on the grounds of this lookout. This architectural piece is one of the overlooked details preserving local heritage at the site.
