The hilltop holds ceremonial value as a waka, where local residents perform traditional Andean rituals with stone offerings to mountain spirits.
The observation point remains accessible throughout day and night, with public transportation stopping near the stairs leading to the summit.
A stone arch from the 1920s, originally part of a residence in Sopocachi district, stands relocated within the grounds of this lookout point.
