Porto de Moz

Porto de Moz is a municipality in Pará in northern Brazil that spreads across a vast territory of forests and rivers. The area contains several nature reserves and is characterized by dense forest landscape.

Portuguese Jesuit missionaries founded Porto de Moz in 1635 under Pedro Teixeira's leadership at the site of a former Monturus settlement. This establishment marked the beginning of European presence in the region.
