Valente

Valente is a municipality in northeastern Bahia, Brazil, serving as a local administrative hub. The town sits within the Serrinha microregion and functions as a center for commerce and community services in the interior.

The town was founded in 1958 and takes its name from a bull that drowned in a local water reservoir near the settlement. This unusual origin story became part of the municipality's early identity.

The Casa Brasil cultural center accommodates 320 spectators and hosts performances by local storytellers, singers, and theater groups throughout the year.

The town has a medium-sized hospital, schools, and sports facilities serving the community. Visitors will find basic services and amenities typical of an inland municipality in this region.

The municipality is home to Brazil's only Rally Park, a specialized racing venue built for motorsport events. Additionally, a paved airport runway stretching 1,500 meters allows small aircraft to land and depart from the town.
