Prédio do Arquivo Público Municipal

The Municipal Public Archive building features a single-floor Eclectic architectural design with modern annexes and multiple research rooms displaying historical photographs.

Built in 1917 under Colonel Agostinho Fróes da Motta's administration, the structure initially served as João Florêncio School before becoming the Municipal Public Archive.

The archive preserves over 200,000 documents, including slave trade records, property deeds, and architectural plans that detail Feira de Santana's development from 1916 to 2002.

Visitors can access the archive Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 12 PM and 2 PM to 5 PM, with group visits requiring advance scheduling.

The research room contains nine posters depicting local historical figures and 55 historical photographs chronicling the city's evolution over time.
