Igreja Senhor dos Passos, Catholic church in the center of Feira de Santana, Brazil
The church exhibits a neo-Gothic architectural design with exterior walls covered in glass-mixed mortar and large stained glass windows depicting the twelve apostles.
The construction began in 1921 after the demolition of an original chapel from 1852, taking 58 years to complete due to financial constraints and technical challenges.
The church maintains regular religious ceremonies and hosts the traditional Festa de Santana celebrations, which include processions, masses, and community gatherings.
Located on Senhor dos Passos Avenue, the church reopened in 2012 following extensive renovations by the Bahia State Heritage Institute to address structural issues.
In May 2024, the parish received the status of Archdiocesan Sanctuary, becoming the first in the metropolitan region of Feira de Santana.
