Praia da Ponta de Nossa Senhora, Beach on Isle of the Friars in Salvador, Brazil
The beach extends between Our Lady of Guadalupe Hill and Outeiro dos Carneiros, featuring a wide strip of native forest along its coastline.
Portuguese settlers constructed the Church of Our Lady of Guadalupe on the hilltop during the 17th century, which underwent complete restoration in 2007.
Local restaurants serve regional seafood dishes, while the beach stands provide traditional Brazilian refreshments and coastal specialties to visitors.
Visitors can access the beach through a pier operating from 9 AM to 4 PM, with an entrance fee of 10 Brazilian reais to the island.
The beach earned international recognition as the fifth best beach worldwide in 2024, according to the International Center for Beach Management.
