Pacajus

Pacajus is a municipality in Ceará located roughly 51 kilometers west of Fortaleza. It serves as an administrative hub for the surrounding area and sits at a low elevation typical of the coastal plain region.

This municipality was formally established on September 9, 1890, growing out of earlier settlements in the northeastern region. It developed into an important administrative center for the local population of the area.

The municipality integrates regional traditions through local festivities and maintains strong connections with northeastern Brazilian customs and celebrations.
