Praia de Majorlândia is a beach along the Ceará coast with natural cliffs and calm waters. The broad sandy shore stretches along the bay and offers natural protection from strong waves.
The name came into use in 1937 when Major Bruno da Silva Figueiredo established the settlement. It means Land of the Major and preserves the memory of this local founder.
Local fishermen work along the shore using small boats to catch fish sold throughout the region.
The beach is located about 170 kilometers from Fortaleza and can be easily reached from Aracati. Many accommodations with ocean views provide comfortable options for visitors.
The beach sits just one meter above sea level, creating smooth transitions to the surrounding coastal landscape. This low elevation enables special lighting effects during sunrise and sunset.
