Phillipp's Cave, Cave and national monument in Erongo Region, Namibia

The stone shelter measures 15 meters deep, 35 meters wide, and 7 meters high, featuring numerous rock paintings on its granite walls.

Archaeological excavations at the site uncovered stone tools dating back to 3500 BC, indicating long-term human presence in the area.

The white elephant painting stands as the central artwork among depictions of giraffes, rhinos, ostriches, springboks, and human hand prints.

Access to the cave requires a 45-minute walk from the Ameib farmstead, with directions available at the reception desk.

The cave walls retain visible finger traces of the original artists who applied the paint to create their illustrations.
