Royal Johannesburg & Kensington Golf Club

Royal Johannesburg and Kensington Golf Club features two 18-hole courses located at high altitude in the city's northern suburbs. The East Course spans approximately 7000 meters while both grounds offer golf carts, caddies, and club rentals alongside practice areas and dining.

The club began in 1890 as Royal Johannesburg Golf Club, making it one of South Africa's earliest golfing institutions. A merger with Kensington Golf Club in 1998 created the current combined facility and identity.

The facility holds deep roots in Johannesburg's golfing community and regularly draws professional players for major tournaments. It serves as a meeting place where the sport remains central to the social life of members and visiting golfers.

Visitors can rent golf carts and hire caddies to play the courses, with club rentals available on-site for those without equipment. The grounds offer dining options, conference facilities, and practice areas suited to all skill levels.
