88 on Field is a 147-meter tall skyscraper in Durban's center with 26 floors of glass and steel construction. Eight elevators move occupants throughout the building and connect it to the street level in its prominent downtown location.

Construction began in 1983 under Murphy/Jahn Architects and Stauch Vorster Architects, completed in 1985. The project represented a turning point in Durban's shift toward a modern commercial city.

The tower shapes Durban's skyline with its glass facade and reflects how the city embraced modern commerce during the 1980s. It stands as a marker of the era when contemporary architecture became central to the city's business identity.

The building sits on Field Street in the heart of downtown Durban and connects easily to public transportation routes. Its central location makes it straightforward to reach when visiting or conducting business in the city center.
