Congo Trade Center, Commercial skyscraper in Gombe district, Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo
The Congo Trade Center is an 18-story building in Gombe that houses a shopping mall, six restaurants, office spaces, and a hotel with 209 rooms. The structure divides into two towers, with Tower A dedicated to the hotel and Tower B holding additional hotel rooms alongside office areas.
The building opened in 2015 as part of efforts to modernize Kinshasa's infrastructure and commercial landscape. Hamilton Project Management handled the technical design and construction oversight for this mixed-use development.
The center shows how Kinshasa is moving toward modern urban commerce by mixing local shops with global business standards. You can feel this blend of traditional trading ways and contemporary design when you walk through it.
The building sits on Avenue Wagenia with two basement levels for vehicle parking and around 1,200 square meters of retail space. Its central location in Gombe makes it easy to reach when moving around the district.
The building was designed as one of the first modern mixed-use complexes in Kinshasa to combine retail, restaurants, offices, and lodging in a single structure. This type of development was relatively new for the city at that time.
