Bold Park, Botanical garden in Town of Cambridge, Australia.
Bold Park is a 437-hectare heritage site featuring native bushland and vegetation across the Town of Cambridge. The grounds include Reabold Hill, the region's highest natural point, with multiple walking trails connecting to viewing platforms that overlook Perth city and the Indian Ocean.
The Perth City Council founded the park in 1936 and named it after William E. Bold, who served as town clerk from 1900 to 1944. The naming honored his decades of administrative service to the growing community.
The Quarry Amphitheatre is a natural performance space carved into limestone walls that hosts events year-round. It shows how the community uses the park's geological features to create gathering places for music, theater, and local celebrations.
The park is easily walkable with clear trails leading to various viewpoints throughout the grounds. Visitors should wear sturdy shoes as paths cross hills and wind through natural bushland.
The site hosts over 300 native plant species and an exceptionally rich diversity of fungi, including nearly 300 documented macrofungi species. This biological richness makes it a refuge for rare ecological habitats within the Perth region.
