Perth Arena

Perth Arena is a modern multipurpose venue in Western Australia with distinctive geometric patterns and metallic panels covering its exterior walls. The retractable roof allows natural light to fill the interior, and the space accommodates around 15,500 spectators for sporting events and concerts.

The venue opened in 2012 as a replacement for the older Perth Entertainment Centre and was part of a broader urban development initiative called Perth City Link. This opened marked a shift in how the city approached modern event facilities and entertainment infrastructure.

The building's design draws from the mathematical Eternity puzzle, using angular shapes and metallic finishes that visually express this mathematical concept. This unusual blend of mathematics and modern architecture creates something visitors rarely notice at first glance.
