Crown Perth, Indoor arena in Burswood, Australia
Crown Perth is a complex combining hotel, gaming rooms, theatre and convention facilities in Burswood along the Swan River. The compound spans several interconnected buildings housing restaurants, bars and entertainment options under one roof.
The resort opened in December 1985 as Burswood Island Casino and gradually expanded into the current compound. The name changed to Burswood Entertainment Complex in 2004, then rebranded as Crown Perth in 2012.
The arena hosted numerous international performers including AC/DC, Michael Jackson, U2, Lady Gaga, and Taylor Swift throughout its operational years.
The compound operates around the clock, though specific areas like the theatre and convention spaces follow event schedules. Parking is available on site, and multiple entrances help with navigation through the sprawling facility.
The compound sits on an artificially raised peninsula that becomes almost entirely surrounded by water at high tide. This island position gives the entire site a sense of spatial separation despite its proximity to the city center.
