Pulo Gebang Bus Terminal, Bus terminal in Cakung, East Jakarta, Indonesia
Pulo Gebang Terminal spans four building blocks across 12.6 hectares with separate departure and arrival sections for passenger handling. The facility provides air-conditioned waiting areas equipped with elevators and escalators to move travelers efficiently.
Construction of the terminal began in 2009 based on architect Paul Tanjung Tan's design and replaced the older Pulo Gadung facility. It opened on December 28, 2016, transforming intercity transportation infrastructure in Jakarta.
The terminal includes a mosque with capacity for around 700 worshippers and food courts spread across multiple levels. Visitors can experience regional cuisine from throughout Indonesia while accessing the religious facilities integrated into the complex.
The terminal operates 28 departure lanes for long-distance buses, seven arrival lanes, and parking for 378 vehicles. Connections to Soekarno-Hatta International Airport are available from this location.
The facility operates 24 hours a day using an electronic ticketing system that manages routes to destinations across Java, Bali, and Sumatra. This around-the-clock operation makes it a major hub for intercity bus travel in the region.
