Stasiun Klender, Railway station in East Jakarta, Indonesia.
Stasiun Klender is a modern railway station in East Jakarta with a minimalist building design and one island platform serving four tracks. The facility sits 10 meters above ground and offers elevators, escalators, and ticket machines for commuter rail services.
The station was founded in 1909 as part of the region's railway network. After a major fire in 2017, it was completely rebuilt in 2018.
The station serves as a daily hub where residents of East Jakarta connect to universities, sports venues, and other parts of the city. People from the neighborhood rely on this place to reach their workplaces and destinations across Jakarta.
The station is well-organized with elevators and escalators for easy access, and includes spaces for prayer, nursing mothers, and first aid. Visitors can purchase tickets using automatic machines throughout the facility.
The platforms were extended to accommodate 12-car trains, doubling the original capacity. This allows the station to carry significantly more passengers on each service.
