Telstra Corporate Centre, Corporate skyscraper in Melbourne, Australia
The Telstra Corporate Centre rises 218 meters into the Melbourne skyline with 47 floors above ground and 3 basement levels at 242 Exhibition Street.
The construction of this commercial building reached completion in 1992, following designs by architectural firm Perrott Lyon Mathieson for telecommunications company Telstra.
The building integrates Australia's largest indoor vertical garden in its reception area, reflecting the intersection of nature with modern corporate architecture.
The ground floor features a retail section toward Little Lonsdale Street, including a Telstra store, two cafes, and a food court with media displays.
The structure serves as the global headquarters for Telstra and underwent substantial renovations in 2010, adding contemporary elements to its original 1990s design.
