Telstra Corporate Centre, Corporate skyscraper in Melbourne, Australia
Telstra Corporate Centre is an office tower with 47 floors above ground and 3 basement levels located at 242 Exhibition Street in Melbourne. The building stands approximately 218 meters tall and includes a Telstra store, two cafes, and a food court on the ground level.
The building was completed in 1992 based on designs by architectural firm Perrott Lyon Mathieson for Telstra telecommunications company. A major renovation in 2010 introduced contemporary elements to the original 1990s design.
The building's interior features an expansive planted area that brings nature into the corporate workspace. This approach shows how modern office buildings try to make working environments more welcoming and balanced.
The ground floor is accessible from Little Lonsdale Street and offers shopping and dining options for visitors and workers. The space is well-lit and displays digital media, making it easy to navigate and spend time there.
The building serves as the global headquarters of Telstra, functioning as more than just a typical office complex. The regularly updated media displays throughout the ground floor space show company information and updates for passersby.
