Constructed in 1858 under architect Joseph Reed's direction, this church became the central congregation for the Wesleyan movement in Victoria.
The church maintains two separate congregations, conducting services in both English and Chinese languages to serve Melbourne's diverse community.
Located at 148 Lonsdale Street, the church complex includes multiple buildings such as the Manse, School House, and Caretakers Cottage.
The first pipe organ in Melbourne, installed in 1842, continues to function at Wesley Church after its relocation to the current site in 1858.
