Cathedral Rock, Tasmania, Dolerite rock formation in Wellington Park, Tasmania.

Cathedral Rock stands at 880 meters above sea level with its jagged dolerite peak dominating the landscape of southeastern Tasmania.

The formation exists within Wellington Park, which received its name from Arthur Wellesley, who defeated Napoleon at the Battle of Waterloo.

The Cathedral Rock track forms part of Tasmania's extensive network of walking paths, connecting people with the natural environment.

The hiking trail extends for 9 kilometers round trip, beginning at Betts Road carpark and following orange arrow markers through dense forest.
