Carcoar Dam

Carcoar Dam is an arch dam spanning the Belubula River with a concrete wall rising 52 meters high and featuring a double parabolic arch design. The structure creates a large water body along the valley that serves both water storage and recreational purposes.

Construction began in 1969 to supply irrigation water to the Belubula Valley and meet local water needs for households and farms. The project emerged from the region's growing requirement to secure reliable water supplies for agricultural and domestic use.

The reservoir attracts fishing enthusiasts who gather here for their favorite pastime throughout the year. The lakeside areas serve as gathering spots where locals and visitors enjoy outdoor recreation together.
