Sydney Showground Stadium

Sydney Showground Stadium is a sports ground with a rectangular field in Sydney Olympic Park, Australia. The stands hold around 25,000 people and are arranged so that every section has a clear view of the playing area.

The building was designed in 1998 by architecture firm Populous and formed part of the large construction works to prepare for the Olympic Games. It has since remained part of the Sydney Olympic Park complex.

Locals often call the building

Several train stations and bus stops are located close to the entrances, making it easy to arrive by public transport. On-site parking for cars and bicycles is available, though it fills up differently depending on the event.

The seating rows can be moved and the lighting adjusted so that the same space can be used for Australian rules football and for concerts. This flexibility allows very different events to take place at a single location.
