Wyong

Wyong is an administrative region on the Central Coast of New South Wales that covers multiple towns and villages spread across coastal and inland areas. The area stretches from beachside communities to rural districts, encompassing diverse landscapes and several distinct population centers.

The region was created in 1947 through a local government reorganization that divided the Erina Shire into separate administrative areas. This restructuring established two distinct councils serving the Central Coast with independent governance structures.

The council organizes public forums through Your Voice Our Coast platform, enabling residents to participate in decisions about infrastructure and community projects.

Most services are accessible during weekdays, and information centers are located in the larger towns throughout the area. For specific questions, contacting the local council office directly is the most practical approach.

The administrative center maintains dedicated departments for Indigenous services, refugee support, and community development programs within the New South Wales government structure.
