The Lakes Creek Hotel stands as a two-story timber structure with twin faceted bays and a decorative gable on the western side.
Built in 1895 by T Moir following designs from Eaton and Bates, this establishment represents the third hotel constructed at this particular location.
The hotel functioned as a central gathering point for workers from nearby meatworks and travelers moving through the Rockhampton region of Queensland.
Located at 431 Lakes Creek Road in North Rockhampton, the hotel maintains twelve guest rooms accessed by an original red cedar staircase.
The property received official recognition through listing on the Queensland Heritage Register on October 21, 1992, with registration number 600796.
