Sacred Heart Church-Punahou

Sacred Heart Church on Wilder Avenue is a house of worship in Gothic Revival style with characteristic pointed arches and vaulted ceilings. The large stained glass windows were designed and made in France in the early 1900s.

Father Clement Evrard established the parish in 1864, and the current building was commissioned by Father Stephen Alencastre and completed in 1914. The structure was built to serve the growing Catholic community in Hawaii.
