The Regional Ceramics Museum occupies a nineteenth-century mansion with nine exhibition halls displaying traditional Mexican pottery and contemporary ceramic artworks.

The museum opened its doors on December 6, 1954, through a joint initiative of the National Indigenous Institute and the National Institute of Anthropology and History.

The exhibition features works from renowned artisans like Candelario Medrano and Salvador Vázquez, showcasing regional techniques such as barro bandera, canelo, and petatillo.

The museum operates Tuesday through Saturday from 10 AM to 6 PM, offering guided tours, art courses, and workshops focused on ceramic techniques.

The museum includes an authentic nineteenth-century Mexican kitchen installation that demonstrates the traditional use of ceramic items in daily life.
