Mullin Automotive Museum, Vintage automobile museum in Oxnard, United States
The Mullin Automotive Museum was a 50,000-square-foot facility in Oxnard dedicated to French automobiles from the interwar period. It housed vehicles by Bugatti, Delahaye, Delage, and Voisin manufactured between the 1920s and 1930s.
The museum was founded in 2010 by Peter Mullin and operated in the former Chandler Vintage Museum building. It closed in February 2024 following the founder's death.
The collection displayed French automobiles from the 1920s and 1930s alongside Art Deco furniture, paintings, and sculptures. Visitors could observe how automotive design and artistic craftsmanship of that era were deeply connected.
Visitors should allow plenty of time to explore the large collection thoroughly, as the exhibits were extensive and detailed. The building was easily accessible and provided a comfortable environment for viewing the vehicles.
Many vehicles in the collection were internationally award-winning, and some retained full mechanical functionality to be driven on roads. This made the museum a place where automotive craftsmanship could be experienced as living and practical.
