The property transformed from a 1920s silent film location to a spiritual sanctuary when Paramahansa Yogananda established it in 1950.

The Court of Religions displays symbols of five major faiths: Christianity, Judaism, Buddhism, Islam, and Hinduism, promoting interfaith understanding.

Visitors can access the meditation gardens from Wednesday to Sunday with advance reservations, while Sunday temple services require no booking.

The Gandhi World Peace Memorial contains a portion of Mahatma Gandhi's ashes in a thousand-year-old Chinese stone sarcophagus.
