Mar Vista is a residential neighborhood on Los Angeles' Westside, positioned between Venice Beach, Santa Monica, and Culver City. Tree-lined streets feature mid-century homes that define the area's character and visual identity.
Originally called Ocean Park Heights, the area was renamed in 1924 and developed alongside the Venice Short Line rail system. It became Los Angeles' 70th annexed community in 1927.
