Woman's Building, Feminist art gallery in downtown Los Angeles, United States

The Woman's Building serves as an independent art center focusing on female artists through exhibitions, workshops, and educational programs in a converted industrial space.

Judy Chicago, Sheila Levrant de Bretteville, and Arlene Raven established the Woman's Building in 1973, operating until 1991 as a center for feminist art education.

The Feminist Studio Workshop within the building formed one of the first independent art schools for women, emphasizing alternative media and community education.

The center maintained a registry of female artists from 1970 to 1992, documenting their work and achievements through various artistic mediums and collaborations.

In 2018, the Los Angeles City Council designated the Woman's Building as a Historic Cultural Monument, preserving its role in the feminist art movement.
