Friday Morning Club

The Friday Morning Club occupies a six-story Italian Renaissance Revival building on South Figueroa Street in Los Angeles' South Park neighborhood. Inside are two auditoriums designed to hold roughly 2000 people and decorated in the classical architectural style of the original design.

Caroline Severance founded this women's club in 1891 with about 87 members, which grew to become California's largest women's organization. The group later moved into the Italian Renaissance building that stands today and remained an important social center for decades.
