L.A. Live is a shopping and entertainment district in downtown Los Angeles, right beside Crypto.com Arena and Peacock Theater. It gathers a movie theater, a bowling lounge, the GRAMMY Museum, restaurants, hotels, and large outdoor plazas with bright signs and screens.
The first phase of construction opened around 2008 with the Peacock Theater and Peacock Place. A second phase added the GRAMMY Museum, The Novo, and the Regal Cinemas by 2009.
Around Peacock Place, the open-air section near the theater, tall digital signs and event screens create a constant street-level show. Visitors often pause there to watch clips or take photos before heading into a restaurant, a game, or a museum.
The district is easy to walk around, with wide plazas and clear signs between venues. Weekday lunchtime can be a good moment to visit, since some nearby parking offers free hours if you eat at participating restaurants.
The ESPN West Coast Broadcast Center sits inside the district, visible through large studio windows from the main walkway. On some days, passersby can watch a live broadcast being prepared or see hosts moving behind the glass.
