Oceanwide Plaza II, Unfinished skyscraper in South Park, Los Angeles, United States
Oceanwide Plaza II is a 162-meter tall structure in South Park with 40 floors designed to contain residences, retail spaces, and hotel accommodations. The modern design sits near Crypto.com Arena and forms part of downtown Los Angeles' evolving skyline.
The project began in 2015 under Oceanwide Holdings, a Beijing-based developer, but halted in 2019 when the company faced financial troubles. Work has not resumed since that interruption.
The building reflects the transformation of downtown Los Angeles with its modern architectural design by CallisonRTKL near Crypto.com Arena.
The structure is visible from outside and sits in the heart of the South Park district where you can observe its condition. The location remains accessible through the neighborhood's established routes and landmarks.
In January 2024, multiple floors received extensive graffiti from street artists, drawing attention to the abandoned project's condition. This activity prompted increased security and intervention by city authorities.
