Metromedia Square, Art Deco broadcasting complex in Hollywood, US
The building featured four sound stages, with sizes ranging from 7,600 to 13,000 square feet at 5746 Sunset Boulevard.
Brothers William and Edward Nassour established the facility in 1946, initially naming it Nassour Studios before its sale to Times Mirror Company.
More than 100 independent films were produced at the location, which later became a central hub for television broadcasting in Los Angeles.
The structure served multiple functions throughout its existence, transitioning from film production to radio and television broadcasting until 2000.
A white ladder-like sculpture called Starsteps adorned the building's roof, making it recognizable across the Los Angeles skyline.
