Hollywood Palladium, Music venue in Hollywood, Los Angeles, United States
Hollywood Palladium is an Art Deco concert hall in Hollywood, Los Angeles, with a tall neon sign and narrow canopy along Sunset Boulevard. Inside, a wide room extends with a parquet floor and stage at the far end, while the facade features terrazzo paving.
The hall opened in late October 1940 on the former site of Paramount Pictures film studios. More than seven decades later, it was added to the national register of historic sites.
The hall takes its name from Greek mythology, referring to the goddess of wisdom. For decades, visitors have found a spacious floor without fixed seating rows, allowing dance and movement during concerts.
The building holds around 4000 people in standing format, with entry usually granted one hour before events begin. Tickets are shown on mobile devices, and the lobby with separate entrances helps streamline entry for different visitor groups.
A membership program offers access to front row tables and a dedicated lounge area. This allows some visitors to follow the concert from a fixed seat while others stand on the floor.
