Canfield-Moreno Estate, Mediterranean Revival mansion in Silver Lake, Los Angeles, United States
The Canfield-Moreno Estate consists of a 22,000-square-foot residence situated on 4.5 acres of land with gardens and several outbuildings.
Built in 1923 by architect Robert D. Farquhar, the estate served as the residence of silent film star Antonio Moreno and oil heiress Daisy Canfield Moreno.
The mansion transformed into a recording studio where numerous musicians created albums, including My Chemical Romance during their third album production.
The estate currently functions as an event venue and recording studio, requiring advance reservations for access to the property.
Following Daisy Canfield's death in 1933, the property operated as a school for girls and later became a convent for Franciscan nuns.
