La Verne

La Verne is a residential city in Los Angeles County situated at the base of the San Gabriel Mountains. The city combines residential neighborhoods with commercial districts throughout its layout.

The settlement began as Lordsburg in 1887 and took the name La Verne when it incorporated as a city in 1906. This name change reflected the community's transition to a more established municipal status.
